Last week I got to visit the the gym at my old school (thats no longer open).  Its the same place my grandmother went to school.  There were so many interesting old things in there so of coarse I have to share a few.

Strawberry Face

We spent the morning picking strawberries and sitting by the field talking.  We just decided to to slow down and enjoy the nice day.

I'm not sure this face is enjoying the strawberry, but I'm enjoying looking at it.

Hey there beautiful

Ok, this may not be the most flattering picture of my Nanny (and she may kick my butt if she finds out I shared it with the world), but this picture is very special to me.  My 2 year old spent about 20 minutes on this make-up job and was soo proud of her work, and Nanny sat patiently as she was being made-up.

 

When we were growing up, my brother and I spent a lot of time with this beautiful woman, and she always made sure we had a great time.  I have soo many wonderful childhood memories thanks to her.  I look at this picture and am reminded of all the fun times we had and know this will be a great memory for my daughter.  I look forward to all the new memories her, my children, and I will make in the future.

While driving down the road on a trip to southwest Virginia, I spotted this on the side of the road.  Its broken up and barely standing.  It obviously has a big hole in the front.  But for some reason, I find it amazingly interesting.

Happiness is.....

I love following I Heart Faces to see their weekly contest entries.  I find great inspiration from all the great photographers that enter.  I've never entered myself, but this week the category is Happiness and nothing says Happiness to me like thesse three cousins playing in the backyard yesterday.

My husband told me that as soon as we have a garage, he will buy me a Volkswagen convertible.  I think I may go out and start building it now.
